Cavett “Cat” Thorne, founder of EnJoy Comms, is a communications professional and native Texan. She earned her Master of Arts in communication from Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in public and media relations, and a dual Bachelor of Science degree in speech communications and sociology from Houston Baptist University.
She has more than a decade of experience in nonprofit, government, and education communications. Name a communications tactic, and she’s likely tackled it in her career.
She previously served as the Deputy Chief of Communications, Marketing, and Creative for KIPP Texas Public Schools. Prior, she led communications work for IDEA Public Schools and the Texas A&M University system, and had a distinct opportunity to learn the ropes of communications as an intern at the White House many moons ago.
She started EnJoy Communications in 2021, inspired by her family’s generational middle name Joy.
Upon meeting her, many peg her as an introvert, but she believes she has two ears and one mouth for a reason. She listens first, yet she is always first on the dance floor and never misses the chance to deliver a perfectly timed one-liner.
